A small school with a big heart.

Klein-Spring Montessori is a family-owned Montessori school for children ages 16 months through preschool, located in the heart of Spring, TX. We’ve been serving the daycare and preschool needs of Spring, TX families for over 35 years.

We follow the Montessori method of early childhood education. Our children are empowered, have age-appropriate independence and, develop a lifetime love of learning.

Our teachers are Montessori trained & certified and many have been with us for more than a decade. We provide a loving, stable, safe environment for your children while they’re away from home. We want you to know that your children are safe, loved, happy, and well cared for when they’re with us.

If you’re looking for a daycare or preschool in Spring, TX that offers everything a child needs to be successful, we’d love to have you visit us at Klein-Spring Montessori.

What are the biggest differences between a Montessori School and a traditional daycare or preschool?

One of the first differences you may notice is that our classrooms include children of multiple ages. This is fundamental to the Montessori method. Dr. Maria Montessori discovered that children learn better from their peers. The youngest children in class look up to the oldest children and learn from them. The older children enjoy being the role models and teaching the younger classmates.

As the children grow and develop, they are able to do more and in time, the youngest become the oldest in the class and take over the role of leader within their group and as this happens, they develop pride, confidence, leadership skills, and independence from a very young age.

All of our works within the Montessori classroom are designed to teach life skills or educational foundations that the child will build upon over the next years. The Montessori method encourages children to explore and learn at their own pace. We have a prepared environment that’s age-appropriate within which the child may choose a work that’s interesting to them. The teacher presents a lesson one on one and the child then works to master that activity. This allows the child to develop great pride in what they do. The excitement when they master a work is amazing to watch.

You’ll probably also notice how quiet a Montessori classroom is. This can be a big change from traditional daycare or preschool. Our children work independently and quietly on their chosen work in their chosen spot. Children are exposed to works in many subjects, natural materials (even ceramic and glass) and empowered to take care of their environment, which allows them to develop a great sense of pride.

We also spend a lot of time outside. Our campus spans two acres and four buildings so they have lots of room to explore. Our children plant and maintain our garden and get to try the fruits & veggies that they grow. They take nature walks on our campus and take note of what they find.

And of course, we have a big playground for them because play is truly the work of childhood. Kids need downtime to play and just be kids every day too.
