What makes Klein-Montessori a great daycare in Spring?
One thing that sets us apart is the longevity of our staff. Our teachers are trained Montessori guides, and many have been with us for more than a decade, which means your child is less likely to have their daycare teachers change out on them frequently.
Montessori is different from traditional daycare or preschool in several ways.
First, when your child attends a Montessori school, they spend several years with the same guide and students, so they form outstanding bonds within their community.
Our daycare and preschool have two classroom levels. Our toddler classroom is your more traditional daycare age range with children ages 16 months through 3 years old. Our primary classroom is for children 3-6 and is similar to a traditional preschool program in many ways.
Our school focuses on preparing the child for a lifetime love of learning and helping them to learn independence in an age-appropriate way.
Our classroom environments are set up to allow the children to be independent and explore safely so they can see what intrigues them.
Our guides give individual lessons to each child rather than teaching everyone the same thing at once. Our lessons all help children develop the skills they’ll need in school and life.
In the Toddler program, we focus on practical life skills, caring for ourselves and our environment, developing language skills, and working within a group. Many of the skills they learn in the Toddler class help them when they’re ready to start school.
A toddler may take great pride in washing the table themselves but what they don’t know yet is they’re learning to make the motion they’ll need when they start writing by washing the table in the manner they’re taught. When it comes time to start school and hold a pencil, it will be natural for them because they’ve been practicing without even realizing it.
