It’s early October, Halloween is almost here. It’s fall. The season of pumpkin spice everything. If you’re looking for fun Halloween activities you can do with your kids, we’ve got three great ideas for you!
Visit a Pumpkin Patch
Spend the day at the pumpkin patch as a family. Walk around, explore, choose your pumpkins, sip on hot spiced cider and take lots of pictures. There are pumpkin patches all over, and most of them have fun kid-friendly activities such as corn mazes, face painting, pumpkin decorating, bounce houses, and more. You can easily spend an afternoon together at the pumpkin patch. Pick out your pumpkins and take them home to carve for Halloween.
Bake Halloween Cupcakes or Cookies
You can go all-out and bake from scratch, or you can buy Halloween themed cookies from the grocery store. Either way, your kids are going to have fun baking Halloween cookies. You can cut out cookies, cookies with Halloween colored sprinkles, ones with Halloween colored M&Ms, there are so many options.
Make Halloween cupcakes by either buying a Halloween colored sprinkle cupcake mix or dying a white mix orange. Let your kids choose the colors or sprinkles, or toppers. Get some fun Halloween cupcake liners at the store and bake a special treat together. It doesn’t have to be a Pinterest worthy masterpiece for your children to have a wonderful time and enjoy baking with you. If you make something Pinterest worthy, great but there’s no pressure. It’s about having fun together as a family.
Create a fun Halloween Art Project
Browse Pinterest for toddler or preschooler friendly art projects; there are tons of ideas available there. You can create construction paper pumpkins, handprint spiders, puffy ghosts made with cotton balls, or any other items. Buy some mini pumpkins at the pumpkin patch or grocery store and let the kids paint them for Halloween.
